Amanda E. Kennedy is a Licensed Independent Social Worker with a Supervisory designation (LISW-S). She is a strengths-based provider who utilizes an individually tailored and supportive approach. Ms. Kennedy has found great professional fulfillment helping individuals overcome challenges related to depression, anxiety, trauma, and low self-esteem and help support individuals achieve goals and improve their relationships. Ms. Kennedy applies a variety of therapeutic modalities including Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy  (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), and Anti-Oppression Informed Practice.  

Ms. Kennedy received her Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Sociology from the University of California at Santa Cruz as well as three Masters’ Degrees in Sociology, Public Policy and Leadership and Social Work from The Ohio State University. In addition to her therapy background, she has professional experience in training, management, teaching, and crisis intervention. Before joining CWW, Ms. Kennedy worked as a Clinical Social Work Program Coordinator at Nationwide Children's Hospital where she directed a hospital-wide program for patients and parents to provide peer support to other families experiencing new onset diagnoses, treatments, and life adjustments including grief and loss. Ms. Kennedy also helped develop motivational interviewing training and led initiatives for trauma-informed care at the hospital. She is trained in and has provided Critical Incident Stress Management for first responders. Ms. Kennedy also teaches graduate courses at The Ohio State University College of Social Work. 

More than anything, Ms. Kennedy deeply values meeting a client where they are with empathy, an open mind, and a commitment to paving a path towards deeper self-understanding, healing, and self-empowerment.
