Cara J. Williams is a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervision Designation (LISW-S) who in applies person-centered and strength-based approaches to supporting her clients in various life stages. Ms. Williams has devoted her career to helping clients navigate the milestones and developmental markers of each life stage. Ms. Williams connects with adolescents, emerging adults, those in middle adulthood, and older adulthood with an understanding and expert knowledge base of the challenges each life stage may bring. With over 20 years of experience, Ms. Williams is thoughtful in her utilization of Cognitive-Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Family-Systems in therapy with clients.

Ms. Williams earned her Bachelors Degree (BS) and her Master of Science in Social Work (MSSW) from The Ohio State University. Her graduate training included a role in the LEND training program at the Nisonger Center. Prior to joining CWW, Ms. Williams served as a Senior Clinical Consultant with Ohio Health extending her expertise with them from their Ambulatory Care Management department and with Ohio Health’s Gerlach Center for Senior Health. Ms. Williams spent ten years with James Cancer Hospital & Solove Research Institute where she provided direct client care, planning, and clinical supervision. Additionally, her work with the Comprehensive Transplant Center gave her an opportunity to serve clients across the lifespan manage their wellness through chronic health challenges. Her previous years of work at Nationwide Children’s Hospital as an outpatient therapist gave her an opportunity to employ Trauma-Focused individual and family therapy, provide supervision to trainees, and facilitate family-focused support groups.

Ms. William’s range of clinical care to those across the lifespan make her a valuable resource to CWW clients. In addition to her broad scope of clinical care experiences, she has provided program and training development on multiple topics across multiple clinical environments and served on advanced directive committees.
