Jamie Price-Copeland is a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) who as a well-established mental health professional, aligns herself between an intrinsic drive “to help,” humanistic values, and relational skills. Ms. Price-Copeland acknowledges the intersection of biological, socioemotional, cognitive, and environmental influences affect women’s and teen girls’ individual experiences and sees facing or embracing these realities can lead to a greater sense of wellbeing. Ms. Price-Copeland practices a strengths-based approach, and has a specific interest in working with young or adult women who may be immersed in the exploration of self, identification of personal beliefs and values, or life goals. She utilizes a trauma-informed approach and supports reflection of past experiences in order to identify the impact of life events on one’s present. Additionally, she provides a foundational support for clients to gain insight and knowledge from life events, helping them break patterns of behaviors that might be contributing to chronic stress, anxiety, or depression. Her approach allows her clients to take action towards positive change. Ms. Price-Copeland utilizes a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Feminist Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy.
Ms. Price-Copeland earned her Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in Human Ecology, specializing in Human Development and Family Sciences, as well as her Master of Social Worker (MSW), from The Ohio State University. Through her education and social work career, Jamie has experience working with both individuals and families. She also has extensive practice experience conducting mental health diagnostic assessments for youth and adults.
