Katie Consolo is a Licensed Independent Social Worker who provides a safe, non-judgmental environment for adults to learn to overcome barriers to meet their life goals and become their most authentic self. Katie’s style is collaborative as she customizes the therapy to the client’s unique needs. She is passionate about supporting clients to achieve personal mental and emotional growth while overcoming obstacles such as trauma, LGBTQ+ identity, obstacles faced due to questioning gender or orientation, mood or anxiety disorders, complex grief, anger, difficulty with effective communication, and co-occurring substance dependency. She uses evidence-based practices including Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Mindfulness to help clients achieve these goals.
Ms. Consolo earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology and Sociology from Villanova University and a Master of Social Service (MSS) from Bryn Mawr College. Having over 10 years of clinical experience working with adults of all ages in both community and college settings, Ms. Consolo also has extensive experience in human services case management.
