Laura Chase, MSW, LISW-S is a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervisory Designation. She provides an open, non-judgmental, and culturally sensitive space for adult women, young adults and teens to find healing and clarity for issues related to low self-esteem, emotion regulation challenges, identity issues, major life transitions, anxiety, depression, relationship distress, trauma, self-harm, and suicidality. Ms. Chase’s strengths-based and trauma-informed approach draws from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Attachment Theory, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness-Based interventions, Systemic Family Therapy (SFT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

Ms. Chase completed her Bachelor’s degrees (BA) in Social Work and Spanish at Ohio University and earned her Master of Social Work (MSW) at The Ohio State University. Ms. Chase has delivered services across a diverse range of geography including Appalachia/rural, urban, abroad, and in local communities. She previously provided services in schools, community health centers, private practice, and at Nationwide Children’s Hospital (NCH). At NCH, Ms. Chase provided clinical services in NCH’s Partial Hospitalization Program, where she supported adolescent clients and their families as they navigated mental health crises.

Prior to joining CWW, Ms. Chase was Lead Clinician at National Youth Advocate Program’s La Jornada Program where she led her team in providing mental health therapy services in Spanish to newly arrived immigrant children and adolescents from primarily Latin American countries. These varied experiences and populations have led her to develop a true appreciation and understanding of the cultural impacts and family of origin on mental health.
