Madison Schlotterer is a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) who is passionate about working with those who feel “stuck” or feel overwhelmed with life’s stressors. Ms. Schlotterer works with teens (ages 14-18), emerging, young, and midlife adults experiencing anxiety, depression, effects of trauma, life transitions, and relationship challenges. She ensures her clients’ feel seen, safe, supported, and equipped to reach their full potential.

Applying evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye-Movement and Desensitization Therapy (EMDR), Strength-Based Therapy and motivational interviewing. Ms. Schlotterer uses best practices to tailor approaches to meet her clients where they are at and in the best way to promote her client’s experiences and goals.

Ms. Schlotterer earned her Bachelor of Social (BSW) from Hope College in Holland, Michigan. She later went to obtain her Master of Social Work from The Ohio State University specializing in mental health and substance abuse. Her graduate clinical training included working with social service agencies focused on supporting those who have experienced domestic abuse, stalking, and sexual assault as well as family social services. Prior to joining CWW, Ms. Schlotterer provided crisis intervention, community-based mental health support, and advocacy at Huckleberry House, a local organization that serves at-risk and homeless youth in Central Ohio. Additionally, she held a committee position charged with collaborating with others to provide training to staff related to cultural competency. Ms. Schlotterer’s professional experience also includes over three years with Nationwide Children’s Hospital (NCH) where she provided direct clinical care support to patients and families in medically complex hospital departments. Here she also served as a clinical field instructor and supervisor for graduate-level social work students from The Ohio State University.
