Pregnancy & Postpartum Group

First-Time Moms Group

For first-time moms with shared expected delivery dates (within 2 months), this one-of-a-kind “before and after” care program is designed to support you in your new motherhood journey. This supportive and cohesive small group with other first-time moms aims to increase your confidence while building applicable tools & strategies for preparation and adjustment to end-of-pregnancy and postpartum period.

This group will provide processing, psychoeducation, partner/family inclusion, and opportunities to find and give support to other women with shared experiences.

*Group commences based on demand in Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer seasons.


OVERVIEW OF PREGNANCY & POSTPARTUM GROUP

  • Meets every two weeks on Wednesdays 6:00pm - 7:30pm

  • First 4 Sessions

    • Your pregnancy journey

    • All the things no one talks about

    • Support, community, and changing relationships

      (partner/support person present in group with member)

    • End-of-pregnancy & Q & A

  • Delivery Month Check-In

    • Individual therapy session pre or postpartum (in-office or virtual)

  • Last 4 Sessions

    • Adjusting to postpartum period

    • Your postpartum body & mood

    • Back-to-Work (in/out of home), childcare/child breaks, & harmony

    • Closing session - Wrap-up and identifying plan if additional needs arise


Group Details

  • Open to adult women with shared expected delivery dates (2 month range)

  • Meets Wednesdays - 6:00pm to 7:30pm

  • Registration required; All paperwork must be completed prior to attendance

  • Program cost: $700.00

  • All materials provided

  • Facilitated by Kristy M. J. Amos, MSW, LISW-S, PMH-C & Jayme Aronberg, MSW, LSW

Once registered for the Pregnancy & Postpartum Group, clients will receive a welcome email with further instructions to complete their registration process. This welcome email will include instructions on how to complete necessary documents required for group participation. Once these documents have been completed, a CWW Group provider may contact you to schedule a virtual 15-minute pre-group meeting. Not all registrants will participate in a pre-group meeting. Please note, all paperwork must be completed to participate in this group.

If you are not an appropriate fit for the Pregnancy & Postpartum Group, your care and well-being is still our priority. A referral will be provided to you for alternative care. This referral may be for a supportive resource at CWW (individual therapy with a perinatal provider) or outside of CWW.
