Rebecca Hetteberg is a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervision Designation (LISW-S) and over 20 years of experience working with adults, teens, children and families presenting with a range of concerns, most notably with those experiencing challenges posed by having a chronic condition or life-limiting illness. Ms. Hetteberg is a passionate and dedicated therapist committed to supporting her clients and community. Coupled with a strengths-based approach, Ms. Hetteberg utilizes Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family Systems Therapy (FST), and Solutions-Focused Therapy (SFT) to help clients reach their goals. Additionally, Ms. Hetteberg offers science-based, whole-self health and wellness coaching and is currently completing her certificate training supported by the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching.  

Ms. Hetteberg works with adults presenting with a variety of concerns including anxiety and mood disorders, chronic and life-limiting health conditions (including newly diagnosed),  life transitions, infertility, adoption (transracial adoption), grief and loss, reinvention after 50, job search at 50+, military families (deployment, single parenting, and transition to civilian life), ADHD & executive function, and special education journeys for parents.  

Ms. Hetteberg earned her Bachelor of Science (BS) in Social Welfare, Master of Social Work (MSW) and Master of Arts (MA) in Public Administration from The Ohio State University. Her professional experiences are marked by numerous leadership, clinical, consultation, and presentation roles. Ms. Hetteberg joins CWW while concurrently working with Cancer Support Community of Central Ohio as a support group facilitator and as a volunteer in the community with two Upper Arlington school-based groups that advocate for students with dyslexia.  

Ms. Hetteberg’s previous work at Nationwide Children’s Hospital (NCH) included positions in the Departments of Neurology, Neurosurgery, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Nephrology and Transplant, and the ENT/Hearing Team. While at NCH, she co-founded the NCH Adoption Academy, a workshop series for prospective adoptive parents. Ms. Hetteberg is also the co-founder of Korica, a Korean culture camp for families with children adopted from South Korea. Ms. Hetteberg has diverse clinical, supervisory, and advocacy experiences through her previously held positions as Director of Family Support and Education with the Batten Disease Support and Research Association and as the Director of Development with The National Kidney Foundation.
