Sean H. Delaney is a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) who specializes in supporting girls and women in finding their voice, their power, and the confidence to navigate an increasingly complex world. She is deeply committed to helping individuals and families thrive, with extensive experience providing both school-based and private-practice therapeutic services. Ms. Delaney works with teens (16+), adults, and families in a supportive, collaborative space where clients feel seen and empowered. She believes in each person’s capacity for growth and partners with clients to uncover and build on their inner strengths. She’s deeply motivated by the opportunity to support meaningful change and finds fulfillment in witnessing moments of growth, clarity, and healing. Her approach is grounded in evidence-based modalities including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy. She provides support for mood and anxiety disorders, relationship issues, self-esteem, life transitions, school-based challenges, and social skill development.
Ms. Delaney’s clinical experience spans a variety of settings, including co-ed and all-girls’ schools, transitional housing programs for adolescents, and private practice. She is excited to return to Columbus Women’s Wellness, continuing her mission to empower young women and support clients across the lifespan in achieving meaningful change and emotional well-being.
She earned her Master of Social Work (MSW) from The Ohio State University and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Spanish from Wittenberg University. She is also a graduate of the School Mental Health Advanced Practicum Program at Loyola University Chicago and the Leadership in Human Services Management Program at The Ohio State University. Ms. Delaney has held several leadership positions throughout her career including Executive Board Member with the School Social Work Association of America, as well as Executive Board Member and Past President of The Ohio State University College of Social Work Alumni Society Board. In addition to her clinical work, Ms. Delaney currently serves as a Researcher and Adjunct Faculty member at The Ohio State University College of Social Work.
