Tarra Collins is a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervision designation (LISW-S) with a broad range of experience working with individuals of all identities experiencing mood disruptions, anxiety, PTSD, neurodivergent function, family conflict, couples’ conflict, life adjustment challenges, generational trauma, and systemic racism & oppression. Additionally, she works with those diagnosed with AD/HD, autism spectrum disorders, and schizophrenic disorders.
Ms. Collins walks with her clients on their journey to better understand themselves, and gain insight into the obstacles keeping them from reaching their goals. In doing so, Ms. Collins’ supports her clients in making the connections needed to empower them toward removing those obstacles. While employing trauma-informed approaches, she utilizes a variety of therapeutic modalities including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Acceptance-Commitment Therapy (ACT). Ms. Collins’ authentic presence serves as a welcome for her clients to embrace their true selves.
Ms. Collins earned her Bachelor of Arts in Social Work (BSW) and her Master of Science in Social Administration (MSSA) from Case Western Reserve University. Her extensive experience spans various clinical and supervisory roles in private practice, community mental health, hospitals, youth support organizations, and insurance carriers.
